May Trunk Show- Amanda Lawford and DC Designs!

Our May Trunk show from Amanda Lawford and DC Designs is in store now! Featuring a wide selection of designs and price points- there’s something for everyone! Based in New York, New York, Amanda Lawford has been painting and designing canvases since 1975. She’s even done a stint at the Royal School of Needlework, in England! A newer artist of ours, Derek Clarke of DC Designs, brings us canvases for the modern needlepointer, while keeping an eye on affordability.

The Bristly Thistle May Trunk Show features over 200 beautiful canvases from these two esteemed designers. When we asked Michele to narrow her favorites down to just 10 to showcase here, she had a tough time, but here’s what she came up with!

Alice Peterson Trunk Show at the Bristly Thistle

There are so many wonderful canvases from Alice Peterson that it’s hard to just pick a few.

I love her children’s canvases–they are fun and even educational. My favorite in the bunch is the Fairy Tales canvas–it would be fun to stitch and can be appreciated by all ages. You can play “find your favorite fairy tale”–fun for all!

The AP line has a number of colorful, sparkly beautiful designs that cry out for wonderful threads and/or fun stitches. This is a terrific show … stay tuned to find out which one I’m buying …
