Here’s a trio of new birds from Labors of Love. I love them all–the chickadee because I have served many of them from our bird feeder, the woodpecker because they are so exciting to spot, and the eagle because he looks so handsome and fierce.

These birds by Amanda Lawford flew in after a long journey from the January show.
I love them–the come with NON-hotfix Swarowski crystals (no applicator required) and Amanda’s thread recommendations. They are just simply gorgeous stitched up. We have these in stock now. (Wire and jewel not included.)

Treglown Designs has just released 4 new Charley Harper canvases. The designs are varied enough that at least one will appeal to those of us who are fans of Charley’s art.
Travelers to Brazil will love the firelights and butterfly.
If, like me, you find yourself stitching more canvases with a fall/Thanksgiving theme, “Turkey Talk” is the canvas for you.
As a lover of the northern Michigan woods and the many birds that reside there, “Under the Sweet Gum Tree” is a wonderful vignette of fall colors and the colorful cardinal.
My absolute favorite has to be “Crabitat” (shown here). Some (my children?) would argue that at times I reside in Crabitat. Nonetheless, this beachy scene is a joyful celebration of beach creatures, sunshine and blue skies. This has proven to be one of the most popular Harper designs ever.

The Labors of Love clip-on birds are coming home to roost from the finishers and they are spectacular. Quick and fun to stitch, they are also addictive.
Now that all things spooky (and perhaps glow in the dark) have been packed away, it’s time to relax and get ready for Thanksgiving.
I noticed I have only a few turkeys to display for this month, so I have started stitching the Elegant 3D Turkey from Labors of Love. I have had so much fun pulling feathery threads and searching numerous books for just the right stitches. This handsome guy will be gracing our table next year. Stay tuned for updates.
Happy stitching!
