I was stopped in my tracks by these four Melissa Shirley
canvases at Long Beach this year. The canvases were a work in progress and the stitches and threads chosen were superb. Melissa had them mounted in shadow boxes fashioned from gold-brushed frames, perfect for display on a sideboard, mantel or entry table.
We have all four canvases in stock. The Pilgrim man and woman come with wonderful stitch guides. The stitch guides for their Indian counterparts are in progress and we will get them as soon as they come in. I vividly remember the Indian woman’s dress—it was stitched to look like deerskin with fringe.
These four canvases are definitely on my wish list.
