New DJ Designs florals from the needlepoint show

djalp3Walking into DJ Designs booths at market is like entering an art gallery–these two canvases were the first that drew my eye. Adapted to needlepoint canvases from original artwork by Annie LaPoint, these are both sophisticated and beautiful. Whether you stitch these in basketweave or using decorative stitches, these canvases will be a pleasure to stitch and gorgeous as pillows or framed as art pieces. djalp296These are available on our New Items page. Click through the image at least once to see the fabulous hand painting and larger images. Stay tuned for more new designs from the show every week!

Rooster needlepoint by Treglown

Treglown 3228I love roosters; at one point in my life I raised exotic chickens….

This guy is definitely a handsome rooster; the colors are crisp and the canvas is beautifully painted. Since it is on 13 mesh, it will make a quick pillow with trim or a great wall hanging.

This canvas is available on our website.

Needlepoint gingerbread houses

I’ve just started stitching canvases for 3 dimensional finishing. I’ve done Halloween houses by Melissa Shirley and Susan Roberts and now I’m ready to start stitching Christmas houses. I collect antique cake stands and I will use them as pedestals for the houses—I can decorate my kitchen and dining room tables or put them as is on side tables or the mantel. My motto is that once you have two of something you have started a collection—these two gingerbread houses with stitch guides by Collection of Designs would be the perfect starting point.
