Glory needlepoint scissors - just in time for the 4th

The latest collectible design in Gingher’s porcelain-handled scissor series is “Glory,” featuring a red, white, and blue theme. It’s perfect for Americana collectors, country styles, and military wives and mothers. The new “Glory” design is available in 8” shears for home sewers (cuts fabric so smoothly) or 4” embroidery scissors for needlepoint.

The Bristly Thistle has the 4” embroidery scissors in stock and priced at $34 on our website. We can order the 8″ size as well. (posted by Michele)

Needlepoint Signs

One of my dearest friends and fellow stitcher has an incredible collections of “welcome” and “please come in” signs. She has almost every season and holiday covered. I am trying to catch up. This “Welcome” comes with 4 sparkly glass ornaments to hang from the branches. See more signs we have in the shop on The Collection page. (posted by Michele)

New needlepoint threads at the Bristly Thistle - Trebizond

Anyone who has been in the shop during my first year knows that I have been adding threads that I love. The latest is Trebizond from Access Commodities, who also provide us with Accentuate. Trebizond is an incredible twisted silk thread that you use “as is” for 18 mesh canvas. The colors (all 197 of them) have a gorgeous sheen that makes your canvas glow with color. And, of course, I bought all 197 colors—with thanks to Vicki for fitting them into the store on their new rack. Here’s a thought—combine Trebizond with Accentuate to make your own metallic silk combinations! (posted by Michele)
